Today I spent time getting lessons from a Master and great mentor.
Here is a great example of a vibrant, Ecologically managed local banana farm. Notice the lush and living environment using cover crops of sweet potato to minimize weed control issues and improve soil health. These plants are happy and healthy, the soil is full of life which benefits the plants and reduces disease stress. Craig has drastically reduced soil erosion on his plot and has few pests problems. He even manages to avoid the problematic Panama disease which we discussed is likely a testament to simply having healthy soil.
Thanks heaps Craig from Our Yard
From humble beginnings. We have turned the old shed into Banana HQ and junksmithed ourselves ripening racks. This old bunk bed and pool yard fence makes great racks for natural ripening. Voilà our first Bananas. Future Feeders are go!

Save us your best Paw Paw seeds.
The taste is described by some as heavenly tropical, but others can’t stand the smell of a ripening fruit. Now that may be just because of the paw paw you choose, or from lax plant selection from growers.
It doesn’t have to be like that..
They grow well in our climate and make a great companion crop to our bananas. So here is your chance to ensure that the fruit that's available tastes awesome!
Abundant, nutritional and medicinal but we don't want to just grow any Paw Paw, we want the very best in taste. Save us your best Paw Paw seed and donate to the Future Feeders farm so we can grow them just the way you like.
